As part of an information event for members of the Paderborn Harmony Society, Dr Dietmar Haubfleisch and Dr Ulrike Hesse will provide an insight into the tasks and services of the University Library. Some bibliophile treasures from the library's holdings, such as the "smallest" and the "largest" book, as well as the Paderborn University Library's digital collections will also be presented in the new Art and Media Studies Library with its modern learning and workstations(http://digital.ub.uni-paderborn.de/ubpb).

On Wednesday, 15 October 2014, the University's annual "Market of Opportunities" will take place from 10:00 to 14:00. The University Library will have a stand in the main entrance area.

We cordially invite first-year students and all other interested parties to find out more about what we have to offer.

Among other things, we will be showing simple tips on literature research that can make studying a lot easier ...

On Thursday, 22 May 2014, a book bazaar will take place in the University Library from 09:00 to 17:00.

Around 8,500 books from almost all departments will be on offer, particularly from the fields of art and textile design, linguistics, literature and economics.

The proceeds from the book bazaar will be used to purchase new information media.

On 27 March 2014, the nationwide "Boys' Day" will take place at the same time as the "Girls' Day".

Paderborn University's varied programme offers boys and girls in grades 7-13 the opportunity to get a taste of the university atmosphere. With various offers, the aim is to show that there is also a lot to discover and explore beyond the study programmes and apprenticeships traditionally chosen by boys or girls.

The University Library is taking part in this event and will be offering a work placement from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. to train as a "Media and Information Services Specialist, specialising in libraries".

In cooperation with the Federal Employment Agency, the three Rotary clubs from Paderborn are inviting students to this year's Paderborn Careers Information Day on 8 February 2014 at Paderborn University. In individual events, pupils will be given the opportunity to gain an insight into various professions on campus. Paderborn University Library will be taking part in the event as part of the presentation of careers in bookselling/publishing/library.

The University Library is taking part in Paderborn University's "Student Info Day 2014" on 20 January 2014 with guided tours of the library.
