Paderborn University Library offers access to over 800,000 electronic information media.

This is the result of years of an offensive e-media acquisition policy (e-preferred strategy) and our own digitisation activities. This policy will be continued consistently.

The electronic information media available are listed in the library catalogue together with the printed books and journals.

Please note:
With a few exceptions, the electronic services can be used from off campus after installing a VPN client or via Shibboleth; information on access via VPN or Shibboleth can be found on the page'Remote access to electronic information media: VPN, Shibboleth (DFN-AAI)'.

• Licensed and freely accessible e-journals via the Electronic Journals Library (EZB)
• Licensed and freely accessible databases via the Database Information System (DBIS)
• Overview and access to the most important e-book packages offered by the University Library (via DBIS)
• Access to the documents published in the University Library's digital collections (open access publications of the university and digitised publications)
