WLAN

In the library you have access to the Paderborn University campus-wide WLAN. The "eduroam" and"webauth" networks are available for wireless network connections. The University's Centre for Information and Media Technology Services (ZIM) recommend the use of "eduroam" due to its greater security and simplicity.

Members of other universities can access the "eduroam" network as long as they have an eduroam certificate installed on their end device.

Further information on this topic, such as how to set up eduroam, can be found at: hilfe.uni-paderborn.de/WLAN

The university's Notebook Café / Room I 0.401 also offers practical assistance.

Use of e-resources licensed for the university

Only users with an eduroam certificate from Paderborn University can access the library's licenced e-resources with their mobile devices.

Users of an eduroam certificate from another university have access to the Internet, but cannot use the services licensed for Paderborn University Library with their mobile devices.

However, access to these services is possible at the numerous PC workstationsin the library without having to log in.
