Registration and access to SciFinder-n

In order to be able to use the SciFinder-n database, you must register as a user with CAS and be activated before the very first search.

To do this, please use the following link: https: //scifinder.cas.org/registration/index.html?corpKey=3C99D8FE-86F3-50AB-5BF1-2DC21826B617

Prerequisite for successful registration:

  • You must be in the IP field / campus network of the university, i.e. you must either be on site at the university or connected to the university network via VPN.
  • You can only register with a valid Paderborn University e-mail address.

After completing the registration, you will receive a confirmation e-mail from CAS with a link. Only after you have confirmed the link by clicking on it, the registration will be completed and your user name plus password will be activated for the login and thus for the research.

Please note:

  • The registration and the subsequent verification after receiving the e-mail link must be carried out within 48 h and on the same PC.
  • If you are in VPN mode for the registration, this connection must not be disconnected during the entire registration and verification process!

SciFinder-n is accessed via the following URL: https://scifinder-n.cas.org

For use, please observe the terms and conditions of the licence agreement with CAS:

  • The use is only allowed for members of the Paderborn University and only for scientific purposes.
