Apply for a library card
You can apply for your library card online using the application form.
In the first step, you will be asked to enter your e-mail address. Once you have successfully confirmed your e-mail address, the registration process continues with the entry of your personal details.
Once you have completed the registration process, you will receive a registration code which you can use to collect your library card in person from the counter at the local lending desk. Please bring the following with you:
- Your identity card or passport with a confirmation of registration from the residents' registration office (registration certificate), which must not be older than 1 year, or another valid official identity document with photo and address details.
If the library card is not collected within 30 days, the registration will be cancelled automatically.
Activate library card
Each card must be activated once before it can be used for the first time. This can be done on the login page of the catalogue via 'Activate account now'.
Password
You set the password for your library account when you activate your user account.

You can access your library account via the University Library catalogue and change your password under the menu item 'My account'. - Forgotten password
If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it on the login page of the University Library catalogue under 'I forgot my password'.
Change address and e-mail
Please have your new address updated in the library at the desk of the local lending desk . You can change your e-mail address via the library catalogue in your library account .
