Collection Hans Albert Peters
Hans Albert Peters (1937-2014) was director of the Museum Kunstpalast in Düsseldorf from 1979 to 1995. His widow bequeathed her husband's private library of around 15.000 volumes to the ULB Düsseldorf in 2015. A duplicate collection of around 2.500 volumes was taken over by the ULB Düsseldorf as a donation and incorporated into the holdings of the University Library of Paderborn.
The collection complements and enriches the art history holdings of the university library. It mainly contains catalogues of art exhibitions covering a broad international and temporal spectrum. The main focus is on the Italian Renaissance and the art of the second half of the 20th century - reflecting Hans Albert Peters' art historical interests as well as his own rich exhibition activities.
The individual titles have been systematically indexed and are listed and searchable in the UB catalogue. - An overview of the titles contained in the collection is available here.
